SAC serves at-risk older adults with necessity-of-life services (utilities/food/energy efficiency/transportation) with the ultimate goal of helping clients find or establish a stable, sustainable living situation.

Sister Carmen Community Center (Boulder County)

SCCC is a non-religious organization whose mission is to provide assistance to residents of East Boulder County who are in need, without discrimination. As a Family Resource Center, we staff full-time Bilingual Advocates to assist families one-on-one in navigating community resources, while also providing emergency basic needs including food, clothing, rent/mortgage assistance, utilities assistance, and more.

The mission of the Boulder County AIDS Project (BCAP) is to provide support, advocacy and education to those in our community who are living with or affected by HIV, and to serve as an outreach and information center to prevent the further transmission of HIV. Until there is a cure, BCAP works to improve the lives of people living with HIV, minimize transmission, and end stigma.

Genesis Project (Fort Collins)

This funding will support our community driven food box initiative to serve our neighbors in North East Fort Collins

Jovial Concepts (Denver)

Jovial Concepts’ mission is to empower underserved communities to thrive by creating access to high quality food, promoting healthy and sustainable living, and increasing self-reliance. In rapid response to COVID-19, Jovial is using their space at The Co-op at 1st as a food bank and distribution center, preparing meals and handing out groceries to families in West Denver and Jefferson County. 

Food for Hope (Thornton)

The mission of Food for Hope is to strengthen and nourish the community by providing vital nutrition to children in need.  During this unprecedented time of the COVID-19 pandemic, Food for Hope is working with Adams County school districts to provide emergency bags of food to families who are unable to get the food they need due to circumstances of poverty and loss of income.  

The Action Center (Jefferson County)

The Action Center is the largest and most comprehensive nonprofit human services agency serving Jefferson County, Colorado, providing immediate basic needs and wraparound services to those in our community who are experiencing hardships.  

Growing Gardens (Boulder County)

We grow and donate fresh organic food along with seeds and plant starts to empower individuals to grow their own family’s food. 

Family Star (Denver)

Family Star's Food Collaborative provides food to families and individuals in the community who are experiencing food insecurity. 

Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West (Pueblo)

The Ecumenical Church of Pueblo West created the Hands and Feet Outreach Food Distribution Program to serve as the Hands and Feet of Jesus to our community by providing food assistance to all those who seek it. At the Ecumenical Church, everyone is welcome and no one should go hungry. 

Conscious Alliance (Boulder)

Founded in 2002, Conscious Alliance is a national nonprofit based in Boulder, Colorado that brings healthy food into underserved communities, feeding kids and families who need it most. Their work empowers young people to get involved by mixing passion for music with opportunities to make a positive impact.Through ‘Art That Feeds’ Food Drives at concerts, and large-scale donations from food brands, Conscious Alliance brings meals and snacks to communities across the U.S., with an emphasis on the Front Range of Colorado and the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. What began as a grassroots food drive at a local show has grown into a national movement — providing more than 2.6 million meals in 2020. Conscious Alliance is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit. 

The Shepherd’s Hand, Inc. (Montrose)

The Shepherd’s Hand Inc. is dedicated to providing for the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of the ‘homeless’ and low income individuals in the Montrose community.  Our goal is to provide individuals and families with housing, food, clothing, daytime and nighttime shelter and assistance in transitioning to employment and life ‘off the streets’. 

Springs Rescue Mission (Colorado Springs)

We seek to see lives transformed and filled with hope as our community works together to fight homelessness, poverty and addiction. Our mission is to mobilize the community to provide relief, rehabilitation and empowerment services.

Athmar Park Neighborhood Association (Denver)

The Athmar Park Neighborhood Association is a nonprofit organization and a registered neighborhood association (RNO) with the city of Denver. As a grassroots, resident-led group, we go beyond the usual purpose and scope of RNOs to provide an open and accessible space for residents to organize, build bridges, and provide mutual support. We hold monthly meetings, partnering with the Community Language Cooperative to offer Spanish interpretation, where residents can interface with our elected representatives and have a space to voice concerns, ideas, and feedback about our shared place and experiences. We put on many events to bring our community together, like movies in the park, a Mexican Independence Day taco festival organized completely by residents, and a picnic. Additionally, we support and coordinate an Active Living Coalition to advocate for a built environment that makes it safer and more accessible for everyone to walk, bike, roll, and access public transportation. 

Alamosa School District (Alamosa)

We are at a high rate of Covid right now and families can not get out so I would like to help these families and deliver groceries to them.

Ellicott School District Food Service (Calhan)

We are a School food service and our goal is to make sure that we can help as many children and students that we can. We are a School district with 1008 students enrolled in our District either online or in person. We also provide meals to home school school and other children in our surrounding area. The most important part of our job is the students and families. Our free and reduced percentage is 68%.

Baca County Food Bank (Springfield)

We are the only Food Bank in Baca County and we have regular distribution days and are also available 7 days a week for emergency boxes of food. Our boxes contain approximately a 14 day supply of food depending on the size of the families we serve. Our goal is that no one in Baca County should have to go hungry.

Garfield RE 2 School District (Rifle)

We have been feeding our communities since March 16 either with grab and go meals, or in school. We have over 1000 kids learning virtually and we need more funding to expand into feeding the community. 

Capitol Hill Community Services (Englewood)

Our mission is to provide a reliable source of nutrition that will assist the poor and homeless return a self-sufficient life. We exist to provide emergency assistance to those in need and have done that for 36 years.

Sharing Our Blessings Food Pantry (Aurora)

Our organizational mission statement is "Feeding People All Ways". At the Manitou Springs Community Pantry, we give food and hygiene items to community members in need on a weekly basis. Montezuma County Senior Services (Cortez)

To provide older services in Montezuma County and surrounding our area for seniors, disabled and vulnerable populations that enables them to live independently, with dignity, as long as possible.

WeeCycle (Aurora)

WeeCycle collects essential baby gear (including baby food/formula, diapers and wipes) and matches it to Colorado families in need through partner organizations focused on individuals experiencing poverty, homelessness, domestic violence, teen pregnancy, under-employment, and those serving immigrants and refugees.

Wally’s Food Delivery (Denver)

6-7 Days a week, we transport food to those who can not . We rescue thousands of pounds of food each week, from Food Banks and stores around Denver and deliver to Indigenous, Black, Hmong, Latinx, disabled, and homeless communities. We also move some non perishables to Hopi, Navajoes, and Lakota Reservations

Morgan County Family Center (Fort Morgan)

With a mission of Connecting Morgan County Families with support & tools for successful living, our purpose, heightened by the ongoing pandemic, includes ensuring that families with the most tenuous access to resources due to systemic inequities remain secure in their housing, utilities and food.

Loaves & Fishes (Idaho Springs)

Loaves & Fishes has set its course to becoming a dependable resource for people needing assistance for food and other commodities. Our purposes include but are not limited to offering and providing food and other assistance, as available, on a short-term basis to people in need in the Clear Creek and Gilpin counties of Colorado.

Friends of Longmont Youth (Longmont)

FLY seeks to address increased food insecurity due to COVID-19 in low-income, historically under-served neighborhoods in Longmont which are also food deserts. We distribute food within neighborhoods, increasing access for youth, elders, those without transportation and/or who have mobility issues.

Douglas County School District Nutrition Services

Douglas County School District Nutrition Services operates as a self-sustaining enterprise fund to offer nutritious, appealing meals and ala carte food items to Douglas County School District (DCSD) students and personnel. We support DCSD's students and our community with resources which promote optimum learning and wellness.

Aurora Interchurch Task Force, Inc. (Aurora)

AICS expresses Christian concern for the Aurora community by providing substantive emergency assistance to Aurora residents and those experiencing homelessness. AICS’s primary program is food assistance, provided through a brick-and-mortar food pantry and a mobile food pantry.

Lord’s Daily Bread (Aurora)

LDB’s mission is to provide food, counseling, health services, and referrals to the poor and homeless in Metropolitan Denver.

Karis, Inc. (Grand Junction)

The primary purpose of Karis’ work is also our mission, which is to provide housing and research-based services to homeless individuals and families in Mesa County to help them move aggressively toward self-sufficiency.

FRESH Foundation (Norwood)

The goal of this project is to provide a weekly free senior lunch sourced as locally as possible. This is tightly aligned with two of three tenets of our mission; namely, to provide affordable, fresh, healthy food options to a rural community with limited resources and a high poverty rate and to enhance the local economy through supporting local producers.

Food for Thought – Denver strives to eliminate weekend hunger for children in the Denver area by providing food Powersacks. Doing so allows them to contribute more positively to their school environment and the communities in which they live, regardless of economic and social class. We believe that no child should go hungry.

Open Door Ministries (Denver)

The purpose of our work is to provide relief to the low-income population of Denver who have been hit hardest with the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are focusing particularly on food needs for low income families, homeless individuals, and kids who are unable to attend school during the day.

Silver Key Senior Services (Colorado Springs)

Silver Key's mission is to serve in partnership with our stakeholders to support a healthy quality of life for seniors, allowing them to age safely with dignity and independence. We serve thousands of lower-income aging adults in El Paso County, including many multi-generational households, through delivered meals and food pantry commodities, Health & Wellness services and transportation. In our 51 years, we are experiencing historic high demands for food pantry help due to COVID.

Colorado Farm to Table (Salida)

Colorado Farm to Table's (CFTT) goal is to grow, harvest, and distribute fresh produce at no cost to food banks, soup kitchens and pantries, feeding families across Colorado who are food insecure.

The Gathering Place (Denver)

The mission of The Gathering Place is to provide a community of safety and hope where positive relationships, choice, and essential resources transform lives. TGP is the only agency in metropolitan Denver specifically dedicated to serving women, transgender individuals, and their children who are experiencing poverty and homelessness.

Aspire 3D (Loveland)

We provide supportive services for youth and their families, seniors and disabled, previously homeless veterans, and individuals living in low-income housing to help them elevate their quality of life, prevent abuse and neglect, achieve self-sufficiency, education enrichment, and helping seniors age in place.

Fuerza Latina (Fort Collins)

Fuerza Latina's Workers owned cooperative is a cooperative run by and for undocumented immigrants, creating culturally relevant, nutritious food for the immigrant community.

Ekar Farm (Denver)

Ekar Farm works for individual, organizational and systemic change in the food system. Ekar shifted in 2020 to respond to growing food insecurity. Our mission remains to connect and educate people and organizations to and about the food system, to activate participants and organizations to create a more just food system, and to donate produce to food pantry partners. This year programs went virtual, we expanded our produce operation, and we increased community partnerships.

Safe and Abundant Nutrition Alliance (Rifle)

UpRoot measurably reduces surplus protective foods in Colorado, supports the economic stability of farmers and increases the nutritional security of our state’s residents.

Living Water Ministry Outreach (Aurora)

To provide food, resource navigation, and resources to the most vulnerable, disadvantaged residents of Aurora through collaboration with nonprofits, private agencies, and individual contributors

Fighting to Farm (Falcon)

Fighting to Farm’s mission is to end hunger and food insecurity in underrepresented, underserved rural communities in Colorado that are oftentimes overlooked. We procure meat and produce directly from local farmers and ranchers for distribution and delivery to low-income seniors, people of color, and people with disabilities.

Hilltop Community Resources, Inc. (Grand Junction)

Hilltop’s mission is People First- Making a difference, one individual at a time. This funding request is to increase SNAP enrollment in Mesa County to eligible but not enrolled individuals/families through outreach, Western Colorado 2-1-1 referrals, and community collaboration.

Ute Mountain Ute Tribe (Towaoc)

The Ute Mountain Ute Tribe strives to uphold the Tribal Ancestral Vision and Leadership in order to preserve and protect our lands, Tribal sovereignty, language, history, culture and general welfare, economic needs and enhance quality of life for the Tribe and its members.

BGOLDN (Golden)

BGOLDN is a food security organization in Golden, CO, that is committed to telling the story of hunger in our community and working with the entire community to address it. Our programs work to feed our community today, while working to promote good health and eliminate hunger in the future.

Compound of Compassion (Aurora)

The Mission of the Compound of Compassion is to provide disaster relief, humanitarian aid, and other tangible assistance to youth, young adults, seniors and veterans.

Focus Points Family Resource Center (Denver)

Huerta is a paid “earn-while-you-learn,” seed-to-sale training program with a two-pronged focus on food access and workforce development. Huerta participants supply produce to Lost City Market providing affordable access to healthy, seasonal food through a pay-how-you-can farmer’s market.

Good Food Collective (Durango)

The GFC’s COVID response includes 1) supporting the ongoing viability of local farms and ranches 2) supporting the sustainability, effectiveness, and equity of our region’s emergency food network by providing resources and facilitating systems development, and 3) providing healthy food to our region’s food insecure residents.

Project VOYCE (Denver)

Food insecurity in the GES was exacerbated by COVID-19. As organizations serving these residents, we propose an innovative project allowing us to provide culturally responsive foods (combo of prepared food items, pantry staples, and produce) to families in neighborhoods most impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to continue to alleviate food insecurity while employing members of the communities served. Comal will prepare and package the food boxes for PV and GESC to distribute.

Bayaud’s mission is to create Hope, Opportunity, and Choice, with work as the means through which people with disabilities and other hurdles to employment can more fully participate in the mainstream of life.

Saguache Works, Inc. (Saguache)

Our mission is to promote a healthy community and habits by providing access to healthy, organic and local food, and to create jobs. We hired one more employee.

We are an important local option for healthy food to our rural population and those who are “high risk” for COVID 19. We provide discounts and offered $5,100 in free food certificates.

Sprout City Farms (Denver)

Sprout City Farms builds educational urban farms to engage communities, strengthen neighborhood resiliency, and root farmers in the city. We envision a thriving local food system supported by a network of accessible city farms which nourish, and are nourished by, their surrounding communities.

Metro Caring (Denver)

Metro Caring works with the community to meet people’s immediate need for nutritious food while building a movement to address the root causes of hunger.

East Denver Food Hub (Bennett)

The East Denver Food Hub LLC (EDFH) is a social enterprise that develops a resilient, equitable, and compassionate local food (eco)system based on equity and inclusion, environmental stewardship, sustainable technologies, and private/public partnerships. EDFH commits to building a model for local food aggregation and distribution, as well as educating the public on the value of supporting and investing in local farms through local procurement initiatives and legislative policies.

Haven of Hope (Denver)

Haven of Hope's mission is to provide food, shelter, clothing, counseling, rehabilitation, and hygienic services to the homeless and less fortunate.

Bondadosa (Denver)

Our work is in quickly storing and transporting high quality food to areas at risk of high need and directly to someone's door. We do so by partnering with government agencies, non profit organizations and for profit organizations looking to create more sustainable food system that promotes access to high quality food for those who can and cannot afford it.

Denver Sisters Circle (Centennial)

The Denver Sisters Circle is a Denver-based cultural organization of over 1200 African American women focused on the empowerment, growth, health and wellness of women of color in Colorado. The group supports these women through the distribution and delivery of food and other essentials items.

St. George Episcopal Mission (Leadville)

As the leading food access organization in the Lake County COVID-19 relief effort, St. George seeks to ensure that no family goes hungry due to lack of resources, including financial, transportation, or other. Because many factors contribute to food insecurity, all food programs are open to everyone.

Commun (Denver)

Commún builds community resilience through relationships and programs that center community voice, cultivate a sense of belonging, and realize equity. We are an anti-displacement and co-creative organization. Food security because it is our community’s most pressing need at this time.

Eastside Action Support Team (Pueblo)

Eastside Action Support Team recognizes the needs and concerns in the Pueblo community from the east side, out. We accomplish this by actively collaborating with local entities in order to better the quality of life for our fellow Puebloans. East Pueblo has very limited access to nourishing food. We are working to change that, by providing emergency hunger relief while collaborating toward equitable access with edible landscapes, school gardens, farmers market and, ultimately, a grocery store!
